Department of Water Resources
November 2019 - SCH#2019049121
The California State Water Project (SWP) extends from east of Redding to the Mexican border, a distance of about 700 miles. The SWP is the nation's largest constructed water delivery system, serving more than 27M people and irrigating 750,000 acres of farmland.
The proposed future SWP operations incorporate the current status of threatened and endangered species and new scientific information aobut the Sacramento Delta ecosystem and its relationship to water operations. The project is expected to improve long-term SWP operations and enhance environmental protection.
No significant environmental impacts have been identified for the project, so no mitigation measures are required.
